Refinery Gas Duct Burners
Some Refinery Gas fuel
present a unique challenge in CT supplemental firing applications. In
the traditional horizontal runner duct burner, the fuel manifold spans
the duct for even heat distribution, and is at a relatively high
temperature from the turbine exhaust gas. Refinery Gas fuels may contain
components that “coke” and form solids when exposed to the high
temperature in the fuel manifold.
In order to mitigate
potential coking problems, Forney’s Refinery Gas Duct Burners inject the
fuel from the side of the duct to keep the fuel cool until it is burned.
We provide an “anchoring baffle” to ensure the flame spans the duct as
much as possible to provide even heat distribution.
